  1. BulletSeptember 1 - Depart Sydney for Park City on UA via SFO to Salt Lake City – hire car and drive to Park City. Stay at the Marriott Vacation Club 'free of charge' for on e week – ie using one of our bonus weeks from the Marriott Phuket.

  2. BulletSeptember 8 - Fly to Toronto on UA via Chicago for one week. Visit Mum, take her and Ann to the Interwest at Collingwood for 4 nights then meet up with the Beckers for dinner on our last evening.

  3. BulletSeptember 15 - Fly to Frankfurt on UA via Chicago then train to Stuttgart – arriving on Sept 16. Stay at Le Meridien for 4 nights.

  4. BulletSeptember 20 - Train to Stasbourg for 4 nights – 2 at the Sofitel then 2 at the Hotel Regent Le Petit France (an Luxury Link (LL) find).

  5. BulletSeptember 24 - Train to Marseilles – stay with Didier and his wife Nicole for 3 nights.

  6. BulletSeptember 27 - Pick up hire car in Marseilles – next 4 nights in Provence.

  7. BulletOctober 1 - Stay at Domaine des Andeols for 5 nights (near Apt / Gorges) – another LL find.

  8. BulletOctober 6 - Pick up barge for 2 weeks with Helen and Garry

  9. BulletOctober 20 - Arrive in Agde with barge – take train to Barcelona. Stay in Barcelona for 9 nights at an apartment – meet up with Reiner and Marianne.

  10. BulletOctober 29 - Depart Barcelona for Paris (CDG) on Vueling (budget airline) – overnight at Hyatt @ CDG

  11. BulletOctober 30 - Depart Paris for Singapore arriving next AM – stay with Grant and Marisa for 2 nights

  12. BulletNovember 2 Depart Singapore for home.

This mega trip is the highlight of my first year of retirement. FC tickets compliments of FDI after my stay in Singapore.  We'd been planning this for almost 12 months – the genesis was Helen and Garry (H&G) suggesting we meet them in France during the Rugby World Cup 2007 for 2 weeks of barging.
